Foam logo signs and letters are a versatile and cost-effective solution for a wide range of interior signage applications. Their lightweight construction allows for easy installation on office walls, lobbies, conference rooms, and other interior surfaces. Foam can be precision cut into nearly any font or logo shape, making it simple to match custom designs and specific brand requirements.

Conference Rooms

Foam signage offers an affordable solution without sacrificing appearance. Its ability to create thick, three-dimensional letters and logos adds visual presence and depth, making it a strong choice for conference rooms and professional office spaces.

Lobbies

Foam can be custom cut into virtually any logo or font style and painted in precise custom colors to match your brand identity. This flexibility makes foam signage well suited for lobbies and office areas where branding consistency is important.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. That is expanded polystyrene (EPS), which is soft and crumbly. We primarily use High-Density Urethane (HDU) or high-density architectural foam. It is rigid, dense, cuts cleanly, and is much more durable.

HDU foam is waterproof and absolutely fine outdoors. However, it must be thoroughly painted to protect it from UV degradation over time. Birds can sometimes peck at softer foams, so location matters. We generally recommend foam for interiors.

Standard stock thicknesses are 1″, 1.5″, 2″, and 3″. We can achieve greater depths (e.g., 6 inches) by laminating multiple sheets together, though this increases cost.

Because they are so light, 90% of foam letters are installed using a combination of Double-Sided VHB Tape (for immediate tack) and Silicone Construction Adhesive (for permanent bond). We provide a paper pattern for alignment.

The sides are the exposed foam core. We sand them smooth and paint them. You can choose to have the sides match the face color, or choose a contrasting color (like a black side with a metal face) to create a shadow effect.

Foam is better suited for larger, bolder letters. Because the material is thick and cut with a router bit, very tiny serifs or details under 2 inches in height can be fragile or lose definition.

Significantly cheaper. A 2-inch thick solid aluminum letter would cost a fortune and weigh tons. A 2-inch thick foam letter with a metal face looks similar but costs perhaps 60% less and weighs 90% less.

High-density foam is rigid, but it can dent if struck hard with a blunt object. It is best installed on walls out of high-traffic reach (e.g., above reception desks) rather than in hallways where people might bump into it.
